Boxford
Massachusetts
The architectural design and plans for this large new home was commissioned by the owner who is also the builder. He was one of the craftsmen who built the new, New England style barn shown at the top of this Portfolio. The proportions of the house and the archiectural details are period-correct. At the rear part of the Main house, according to the wishes of the builder & his wife, larger windows and skylights were installed which allow for Passive Solar collection. Insulated stone & concrete floor area inside this part of the house stores the solar warmth and releases it during times of no sunshine.
